UDI Lower Mainland submission to the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship.

As part of the public engagement process, UDI reviewed the second set of proposed permitting improvements. While supportive of the direction of some of the initiatives, further consultations will be needed with Qualified Professionals (QPs) and the development industry as they move forward, and more details are provided. Feedback was provided on proposals related to:

• The mitigation hierarchy currently used by the Ministry;
• Wetland identification & delineation;
• Wetland professional accountability;
• Best management practices for changes in and about a stream; and
• Expediting existing use ground water applications.
