City of Port Moody Consultation on Major City Initiatives

UDI Lower Mainland submission to the City of Port Moody.

In 2026, the City of Port Moody aims to have adopted several initiatives with meaningful implications for project economics, including: ACCs, DCCs, Inclusionary Zoning, and Density Bonus updates. UDI recommends that the City allow for the development industry to provide meaningful input on financial analyses that inform the policies before they are brought forward for consideration.

We have heard clearly from our members that the priority at this time should be stabilizing the development environment. This includes pausing the introduction of new cost layers and, where possible, considering the rollback or recalibration of measures that are hindering project viability.
