City of New Westminster Interim Density Bonus Policy

In Fall 2024, the City of New Westminster proposed amendments to the City's Interim Density Bonus Policy to apply density bonus payments to Purpose-Built Rental (PBR) projects. The building sector raised concerns as PBR buildings cannot absorb the same level of density bonus rates as strata residential developments.
