Ministry of Infrastructure Construction Prompt Payment Act

UDI Lower Mainland submission to the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Following the release of the discussion paper by the Ministry of Infrastructure, UDI submitted correspondence outlining concerns with the proposed regulations. The attached correspondence outlines recommendations to phase the requirements in, clarify the invoicing process, and suggest a more realistic definition of "days".

If a phasing approach is not adopted, the implementation of the legislation needs to be delayed – at least two years after the release of the regulations – and after an extensive education and training campaign by the Ministry.
