City of Coquitlam Revised ESC/ZCSC Approach
UDI Lower Mainland submission to City of Coquitlam.
In December 2025, the City of Coquitlam brought forward a revised approach to the Energy Step Code (ESC) and Zero Carbon Step Code (ZCSC) requirements. The City proposed an accelerated ZCSC timeline, and UDI outlined various concerns, including the need for review of local electrical distribution capacity in Coquitlam.
