One of the chief reasons for the slowdown in the market in the housing sector (including for-profit, non-profit and government builders) is the cost of delivery crisis. The slowdown is not because there is an oversupply of housing. There is still a substantial undersupply of homes in Canada as consistently noted by CMHC.
