Township of Langley - Willoughby Community and Neighbourhood Plan Updates

At their meeting on March 23rd, Council directed staff to undertake public engagement on the draft Willoughby Community Plan, draft Willoughby Transit Corridor Plan, as amended, proposed policy and land use changes for a consolidated Gordon Neighbourhood Plan and draft Development Permit Guidelines for Transit-Oriented Development.Β 

At their meeting, Council approved the following amendments:Β 

  • Β That Council direct staff to change the proposed land use designations for the following areas in the draft Willoughby Transit Corridor Plan to Special Study Area:
    • Properties east of 202A Street between 73A Avenue and 76 Avenue, from Rowhouse/Townhouse; and
    • Properties south of 80 Avenue and north of 78 Avenue (alignment) between 200 Street and 202A Street (from High Density Mixed Use, Medium Density Mixed Use and Institutional).

Engagement opportunities will include:

  • online information on tol.ca
  • public information displays at Civic Facility and Langley Events CentreΒ 
  • two Public Open Houses:
    • Thursday, April 9, 2026 (4:00 to 8:00pm) at Yorkson Creek Middle School
    • Wednesday, April 14, 2026 (4:00 to 8:00pm) at Langley Events Centre
  • online feedback through April 27, 2026
