Township of Langley - TOA Designation

ย As noted in previous updates, on May 2nd, the Lieutenant Governor in Council of British Columbia, through an Order in Council, officially designated a Transit-Oriented Area (TOA) within the Township of Langley. This designation applies to the area surrounding the transit station identified as the 196 Street Station.ย 

The boundaries of the TOA for the 196 Street Station are illustrated in the map below:ย

June 20, 2024

At their meeting on June 10th, Council gave first, second and third reading to the designation of the Willowbrook Transit-Oriented Area identifying it as a Tier 1, 2 & 3 TOA. Additionally, Council deferred final adoption of the Willowbrook Transit-Oriented Area Bylaw until the October 21st, 2024, regular meeting.ย 

The minimum allowable height and density for the three tiers is outlined below:ย
