As mentioned in previous updates, on April 13th Council gave third reading to the proposed amendments to the City’s Official Community Plan to establish a new Development Permit Area (DPA) designation and provide guidelines for the form and character of intensive residential development on lands where small-scale multi-unit housing (SSMUH) is a permitted use. The Bylaw also amends the Brookswood-Fernridge Community Plan, Murrayville Community Plan and Fort Langley Community Plan to distinguish the forms of development that are subject to the Form and Character Guidelines for SSMUH. Should Council adopt the proposed Bylaws, the DPA would be applicable to any current instream projects.
