On April 15th, Council adopted the Fees and Charges Bylaw. The updated fees are now in effect.Â

On March 25th, Council gave three readings to proposed updates to the Fees and Charges Bylaw. The amendments will be brought forward again at the next Council meeting on March 25th. 17 fees and charges categories are being considered under separate schedules.Â
Notable proposed changes are as follows:Â
Schedule 11: WaterworksÂ
- Inspection FeesÂ
- Increase the cost per inspection fee from $160 (2023) to $165.Â
- Special Meter ReadingsÂ
- Increase the cost for each special meter reading from $150 (2023) to $165Â
Schedule 12: SewerworksÂ
- Inspection FeesÂ
- Increase to the cost per inspection fee from $160 (2022) to $165.Â
Schedule 14: Development ServicesÂ
- General Fee IncreaseÂ
- Development application fee increase inflationary of 3.9%Â
- Proposed ChangesÂ
- Increased maximum application fee payable is adjusted from $25,000 to $50,000 to reflect staff resources allocated to applications with increased scope and complexityÂ
- Removal of the Energy Conservation and Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions Development Permit and removal of the File Research Request feeÂ
- Extraordinary Charges changes including: adjusting the fee threshold for number of staff reports from three to two; adding an at cost research and information fee; and adding a significant amendment to land use applications fee for projects that have already been reviewed by staff (land use or site layout) resulting in a new File Review LetterÂ
During the meeting, Council passed an amendment setting the Neighbourhood Planning Fee for applications within the Willowbrook Community Plan area, including all in-stream applications, to be set at $160 per unit being rezoned.Â
