At their regular meeting on October 7th, Council adopted the proposed amendments to the Community Standards Bylaw that increases the hours of construction on Saturdays, reduces the required number of days for which noise exemption applications are to be received and reduces the timeline for the approval process for construction sound exemption applications. 

The following amendments are now in effect:  

• Construction is now allowed on Saturdays between the hours of 7:00am and 8:00pm. 
• Exemption Applications must be received by the Municipality at least 5 business days prior to the commencement of the sound. 
• The timeline for the grant or denial of a noise exemption application is now reduced to two business days after receiving a completed exemption application.
