Provincial - MBAR Innovation Program Intake

Mobilizing Building Adaptation and Resilience (MBAR) is a collaborative research and capacity building project program led by BC Housing. It helps the building industry protect homes and buildings in the face of climate change. Projects get access to resources and expertise about building design and renovations to help buildings remain functional, comfortable, safe, and resilient even with heavier rainfall, hotter dryer summers, wildfires, flooding, windstorms. and earthquakes.

The current intake of Industry Innovation projects is open now and closes December 5, 2023. The MBAR team is looking to identify upcoming development or renovation projects that are in the early stages of design where climate change adaptation and resilience elements can be explored. As an MBAR project, BC Housing assists in technical research, support, expertise, and advocacy for innovation for leading edge projects that advance climate change solutions.

2024 will see MBAR advance as an Innovation Program, with more structure and opportunity to participate. Keep an eye out for future opportunities to work with the MBAR team and BC Housing on advancing solutions to our changing climate. For more resources related to MBAR, click here.
