On September 24, the Province announced it will be investing approximately $9 million for another intake of the Local Government Development Approvals Program (LGDAP). This program, administered through the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM), funds local government-initiated projects to improve the efficiency of permitting systems and development approvals for quicker housing delivery and increasing housing supply. 

The third intake of the LGDAP will open in early 2026, with funding expected to be distributed by mid-2026. More information can be found in the full news release.
