BC Housing has shared the 3rd edition of the Illustrated Guide R22+ Effective Walls in Residential Construction in British Columbia. The guide helps with designing and constructing residential wall assemblies that meet R-22 or higher thermal performance in British Columbia. It applies to low-rise detached and semi-detached homes, rowhouses/townhomes, and multi-unit residential buildings up to six storeys.  

Topics include wood-frame, steel stud, concrete, and below-grade wall systems. The third edition adds guidance on acoustical performance, fire risk considerations, and embodied carbon reduction.
