Starting January 18th, 2024, municipalities will be able to apply for provincial grant funding to help meet the legislative changes passed last fall. This funding will be available to municipalities upfront and is intended to help fund the work required to update Housing Needs Reports, zoning bylaws, and development finance measures, through hiring consultants and staff. The total amount of funding available to municipalities will be $51 million, which was part of Budget 2023.
