At the Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities on May 21, Council directed staff to undertake an expedited review of the City’s multiplex housing policies and zoning. The motion asks for this to be informed by early implementation experience, to assess whether refinements are warranted to improve built form outcomes and neighbourhood fit, while continuing to support housing delivery objectives.

During the meeting, a motion was passed directing staff to report back on ways to incentivize heritage and character retention that enables gentle density.
