At the Standing Committee on City Finance and Services on March 12th, Council passed a referral motion on deferring the collection of Development Cost Levies (DCLs) and related development charges to support new housing and job supply. The referral directed staff to report back in May while considering the specific impacts of deferring DCL payments. 

Following recent discussions with City staff on the topic, UDI is pleased to see the City acknowledging challenging market conditions and the need for measures to support new housing. The original motion can be viewed here.
