At the Standing Committee on Policy and Strategic Priorities on May 21, Council directed staff to potentially undertake a review of the alignment of the Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL) with the BC Building Code (BCBC). The motion asks to review the City’s housing and energy regulations to identify opportunities to reduce duplication, costs, and delays.
