February 23, 2026

At their meeting on February 23rd, Council gave first and second reading to the proposed Surrey Official Community Plan Bylaw. Surrey 2050, an update of the OCP, will be more innovative and market responsive, and will establish policies and approaches that shape the future of Surrey as a city of a million residents. The report provides Council with an update on the framework of Surrey 2050, including draft land use designations and policy directions, which will guide the development of Surrey over the next twenty-five years.
