As mentioned in previous updates, on April 14th Council gave third reading and final adoption to the proposed updated amenity contributions for the South Westminster NCP area. Proposed Community Amenity Contribution updates have been calculated in keeping with the Cityโs Density Bonusing Policy (O-54), based on updated amenity needs, population growth, and construction costs.ย
The Amenity Contributions for the South Westminster Secondary Plan Area are identified in the table below:

At their meeting on March 10th, Council approved the updated South Westminster Stage 2 Neighbourhood Concept Plan, the Stage 1 Land Use Concept for the Transit Village Study Area, the proposed amendments to update amenity contributions for the South Westminster NCP area, and authorized staff to proceed with the necessary studies to support the Waterfront District Study Area. ย
Staff will receive and process development applications for the updated South Westminster Stage 2 Land Use Area. Development applications in the Transit Village and Waterfront District Study Areas will be accepted, however residential development in the Transit Village Study Area will not proceed to Council until Stage 2 engineering servicing is completed and the extent of front-ender infrastructure costs is known.
