City of Surrey - Proposed Changes to Geotechnical Reviews for Steep Slope Hazard Land Development Permits

At their regular meeting on October 20th, Council approved the proposed changes to the City’s current practice for geotechnical reviews for Steep Slope Hazard Land Development Permits and directed staff to prepare and bring forward the necessary bylaw and/or policy amendments to implement this initiative. The following changes are proposed:  

  1. Amend the DP2 Guidelines and Development Permit Bylaw to Align with the Regulatory Body’s Guidelines for Steep Slopes 
  2. Create a Pre-Approved Engineers/Geoscientist List
