City of Surrey - Landscape Security Modernization: Risk-Based Sliding Scale and Related Amendments

At their meeting on July 27th, Council gave first and second reading to the proposed amendments to modernize the City’s landscape security framework. The current model requires developers to post securities equal to 100% of the estimated landscape cost, leading to significant capital lock-up. To address these issues, staff propose to implement a risk-based sliding scale where the percentage of the landscape security decreases as the landscape estimate increases.Β Β
