City of Surrey - Anniedale-Tynehead Plan Boundary Extension, Draft Land-Use Updates, and South Port Kells Background Studies

At their meeting on April 13th, Council authorized staff to extend Anniedale-Tynehead Neighbourhood Concept Plan’s proposed plan boundary, update Anniedale-Tynehead Stage 1 land-use designations to align with the forthcoming Surrey 2050 Official Community Plan, and initiate background studies to support future planning for the South Port Kells area.

The proposed Anniedale‑Tynehead plan boundary extension is supported by the servicing analysis and will enable a coordinated Stage 2 planning process for the expanded area. Updating the Anniedale‑Tynehead Stage 1 land‑use designations will support the continued development of a coordinated and technically informed Stage 2 Plan. The South Port Kells petition results demonstrate sufficient interest to proceed with preliminary technical studies, which will provide Council with the foundational information needed to determine the appropriate timing and scope of any future planning process for the area.
