City of Richmond - 2024 Utility Rates

Adopted

On November 27th, 2023, Council adopted changes to various 2024 Utility Rates. The changes came into effect on January 1st, 2024.

Due to the challenges of cost increases, City staff presented various budget and rate options for Utility Rates for 2024, including three different options for each of the City’s utilities.

The City’s Waterworks and Water Rates Bylaw, Sanitary Sewer Bylaw, and Solid Waste & Recycling Regulation Bylaw, provide a 10% discount for utility bills paid prior to the due date. The rates shown in the bylaws will be before the 10% discount is applied, to achieve full cost recovery.
