City of Port Coquitlam - Interim Housing Needs Report Update

At Special Committee of Council on December 17th, Council received the updated Interim Housing Needs Report (HNR) for information. As the Province requires, municipalities must complete Interim HNRs by January 1st, 2025, using the new standardized HNR method.  

Under the new methodology, the updated Interim HNR identifies a need for 4,727 new units within the next five years, and a need for 15,249 new units within 20 years:
