At Committee of Council on February 18th, Council received a report for information on the Housing Target Progress Report. In the six-month period between August 1st, 2024, and January 31st, 2025, the City had an increase in 11 new net units (7 of these being rental). 95 units were newly approved during this period as well. 

The report noted that many of the projects reaching completion began their work two or three years ago, measuring previous policy decisions. The impact of recent policy decisions will not be fully realized for several years, but the report noted that these will meet the City’s housing needs over time.
