City of New Westminster - 2024 Interim Housing Needs Report

At their Council Workshop on December 9th, Council approved the 2024 Interim Housing Needs Report (IHNR). This interim report updates the housing needs of the City of New Westminster in accordance with provincial legislation under Bill 44 – Housing Statutes Act. According to the IHNR, the total number of new units required to meet the City’s 5-year need is 8,137 while the 20-year housing need is 27,523.
