City of Langley - Housing Target Progress Report - Year 1

At their meeting on September 8th, Council received the Housing Target Progress Report – Year 1 for information. The report provides progress information relating to the City of Langley’s Housing Target Order, covering the period from August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2025 as required under the Housing Supply Act.  

During the reporting period, the City of Langley completed a total of 533 net new units, exceeding the first-year target of 251 units.

March 18, 2025

At their meeting on March 10th, Council approved the Housing Target Progress Report and directed staff to submit the report to the Minister of Housing and Municipal Affairs. The report provides progress information relating to the City of Langley’s Housing Target Order, covering the period from August 1, 2024 to January 31, 2025, as required under the Housing Supply Act.  

During the reporting period, the City granted occupancy to a total of 237 net new units. The report notes that the City is on track to meet its Year 1 target of 251 units, having completed 94% of the target in the first six months.
