On July 13, Council received a report for information on the Heritage Conservation Reset, looking at future tools to support heritage conservation in light of the SSMUH legislation and changes to the City’s development financing framework. As the report notes, SSMUH now offers a stronger redevelopment incentive than the additional density offered by the City’s Heritage Revitalization Agreement (HRA) program to preserve heritage. As a result, staff propose reviewing current tools and finding new tools to support heritage.
