City of Coquitlam - Building Permit Digitization
At Council-in-Committee on June 22, Council received a report for information on the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) initiative on Building Permit Digitization. The City is undertaking phase 2 of the process, focusing on redesigning the permit process around the customer experience while leveraging technology to improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
The work includes:
- Simplifying and standardizing permit review processes;Β
- Enabling greater coordination and concurrent reviews:Β
- Developing a modern online customer portal;Β
- Introducing tools to better monitor permit performance and timelines; andΒ
- Supporting a culture shift toward service excellence and continuous improvement.Β
