At their regular meeting on July 15th, Council received the “Official Community Plan Phase 2 Summary” report for information. Phase 3 will take place over the summer and fall of 2025, with a complete draft plan being used in a third round of engagement to gather input about the updated vision, land uses, and policies for Chilliwack's future.

February 4, 2025 

At their regular meeting on January 28th, Council received the “Official Community Plan Phase 1 Summary” report for information. The overall work plan for the OCP update will occur from Summer 2024 through the end of 2025, and is broken into three stages: Phase 1 - Listen and Learn, Phase 2 - Explore Concepts, and Phase 3 - Create the Plan. The report outlines the engagement summary from Phase 1 and updates the Engagement Strategy in preparation for Phase 2.  

Phase 2 work will take place over the spring of 2025, with the project team developing concepts informed by the background research and engagement input. The project website will be updated to continue sharing information about the OCP update and host another online survey to gather early input from the community. Phase 2 will be completed by summer 2025 with an update to Council that will include the concepts engagement results.
